Our Story

A Small Beginning with a Shared Dream

Every meaningful journey begins with a simple thought.

For us, it began with a question:

How can we make India's rich cultural heritage more engaging and accessible for today's children?

As two working women balancing our professional lives with our love for Indian culture, we often found ourselves searching for learning resources that were authentic, interactive, and enjoyable for young minds. While many wonderful books existed, we longed for something that children could actively experience—not just read.

That shared thought slowly became a shared dream.

What began as conversations between friends soon transformed into late evenings filled with ideas, sketches, research, writing, and countless revisions. Every page we created carried a single purpose: to help children discover the beauty of our traditions through curiosity and creativity.

From that journey, Para Mārgam was born.

The name reflects our aspiration to offer a meaningful path—one that connects young learners with India's timeless stories, values, scriptures, festivals, and artistic traditions in ways they can understand, enjoy, and cherish.

Our first step on this journey is Kathika, a series of interactive activity books designed to make learning about our culture fun, engaging, and memorable for children and families.

While Para Mārgam began with the efforts of two individuals, we believe its true purpose extends far beyond us. Every parent who reads with their child, every teacher who introduces a new tradition, and every young learner who discovers something new becomes a part of this journey.

We are deeply grateful to our families, teachers, scholars, artists, well-wishers, and everyone who believes that preserving our heritage begins with inspiring the next generation.

This is only the beginning, and we look forward to walking this path together.

With gratitude,
